Cattle Imports from Russia to Kyrgyzstan Double
Sourse: tazabek.kg
According to the National Statistics Committee, Kyrgyzstan imported 12.4 thousand heads of cattle from Russia worth $3.3 million in the first eight months of 2025. This is twice the amount compared to the same period last year (6.5 thousand heads worth $1.8 million).

The increase in imports is linked to programs aimed at improving the herd's breed composition and enhancing the productivity of beef and dairy cattle, as noted by relevant agencies.
Overall, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, the active implementation of veterinary and breeding activities contributes to strengthening epizootic welfare and developing export-oriented livestock farming in Kyrgyzstan.
