IDF Presents Award to Young Scientists in Dairy Science and Technology

The International Dairy Federation (IDF) has launched the 2025 edition of its award for early-career scientists and technologists to honor their contributions in the field of dairy science and technology. This distinguished award is named after Professor Pavel (Paul) Jelen, a renowned Czech-born scientist who has made significant strides in Canada and the United States.
The recipients of the prestigious IDF Professor Pavel Jelen Early Career Scientist Prize will have the distinct opportunity to present their research at the annual IDF World Dairy Summit (WDS), this year scheduled to be held in Santiago, Chile, from October 20 to 23, 2025. This platform not only fosters educational growth and mentorship but also expands career prospects and employment options for awardees as they engage intensely with the commercial and operational facets of IDF.
IDF has extended invitations to young scientists and technologists—students or recent graduates (within three years of acquiring their highest degree)—to submit proposals for consideration. Entrants are encouraged to explore scientific and technological realms within IDF's domain of interest and expertise.
