Since its establishment in 2009 in the region known as Magic Valley, Idaho Milk Products has pursued high-quality dairy ingredient production, leveraging milk from local dairies within a 50-mile radius. The company's CEO, Daragh Maccabee, highlighted their growth and commitment to innovation, noting their expansion in 2019 and the establishment of the Milk Innovation Center to further product development and customer collaboration.

IdaPlus 1090, designed to meet the demands of the burgeoning global RTD market—projected to reach $2.7 billion by 2030—offers enhanced solubility and texture improvements over traditional milk proteins. This innovation enables smoother beverages with less grittiness and the potential for cleaner labels by reducing stabilizer needs. The product has shown promising results in sensory evaluations, displaying improved taste profiles without the common defects found in rehydrated milk proteins.

The development of IdaPlus 1090 involved a meticulous process to optimize its formulation, focusing on reducing chemical additives and achieving a clean label without compromising stability or taste. The RTD formulas, including popular flavors like vanilla and chocolate, underwent rigorous testing for shelf life and stability, demonstrating their viability for up to 24 months under various storage conditions.
