ICAR Annual Conference & IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2025 at NDDB, Anand
The International Committee for Animal Recording (ICAR), the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the International Dairy Federation (IDF) / Indian National Committee of the IDF (INC-IDF), in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), have successfully inaugurated the ICAR Annual Conference & IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2025 on 1st April 2025 at NDDB, Anand. The theme for this year's event is Sustainable Livestock Farming through Harmonization, Technology and Innovation.
The event was inaugurated by prominent figures including Ms Alka Upadhyaya, Dr Meenesh Shah, Dr Daniel Lefebvre, Mr Philippe Trossat, and Mr Hans Cruijsen. It attracted participation from over 200 international and national delegates across 32 countries, comprising academia, researchers, dairy professionals, and government officials.
The conference features six technical sessions covering crucial topics such as advancements in livestock technology, genetic improvements, and methane emission reduction strategies. Additionally, a poster session will showcase innovations across the dairy value chain with participation from 19 exhibitors.
Highlighting India's unique position in global dairying, the event emphasizes the country's leading role in milk production despite predominantly small-scale operations. Indian dairying continues to draw international attention through its expansive data-driven projects targeting diverse cattle and buffalo breeds.
