Harry Davis & Company Facilitates Sale of Harrisburg Dairies to Patanjali Dairy USA
Harry Davis & Company (HDC) has announced the completion of the sale of Harrisburg Dairies to Patanjali Dairy USA LLC. This transaction marks a significant milestone for the century-old dairy production facility, which halted its operations in October. The 3-acre site, uniquely positioned in the capital of Pennsylvania, has been a staple in the local community, providing dairy products for nearly a century.
HDC, known for its expertise in the dairy industry, was tasked with marketing the dairy operation. They successfully secured a buyer in Patanjali Dairy USA, a company looking to expand its presence in the ethnic dairy foods sector. According to Lenny Davis, CEO of HDC, the location of Harrisburg Dairies within the Central Pennsylvania milkshed, along with its distribution capabilities and existing infrastructure, made it a desirable acquisition.
The acquisition is expected to help retain local dairy production and jobs, which is seen as beneficial for both the new management and the community. "It’s a win-win result for the new leadership and the community," said Davis.
Harry Davis & Company, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been a family-owned business since 1955. The firm specializes in asset valuations, business strategy, and the sale of operating businesses and facilities across various industries, including dairy, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, and consumer products.
Patanjali Dairy USA LLC is part of Patanjali's broader strategy to enhance its footprint in the American market by acquiring and integrating local assets that align with its growth ambitions.
