Grupo Lala Maintains Employment Amid Decreased Dairy Sales in 2025
Grupo Lala, a leading Mexican dairy company, concluded 2025 by maintaining almost 40,000 jobs, specifically 39,827 employees, marking a slight increase of 0.7% compared to 2024. Despite facing lower sales, the company's net sales were reported at 80,059 million pesos, similar to the levels seen four years ago.
During 2025, Lala's total assets increased to 67,646 million pesos, with a nearly 6% rise in equity, showcasing financial resilience. The company invested 2,377 million pesos in infrastructure, logistics, and operations, emphasizing its commitment to modernizing the dairy industry.
Lala continues to play a crucial role in the regional dairy supply chain, producing and distributing pasteurized and UHT milk, yogurts, and dairy formulas. The company also exports to markets such as Guatemala, the United States, and Belize. While final export figures for 2025 are pending, recent years have shown significant fluctuations in dairy product exports.
Looking forward, Lala's performance in 2026 is expected to depend on consumer recovery, operational efficiency, and stable agricultural costs, according to company analysts.
