The export of dairy products from Gomel Oblast to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced a remarkable near ninefold increase by the end of 2023, according to Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. Krupko made the announcement during a meeting of regional leaders, representatives of diplomatic missions, and business organizations at the Gomel Economic Forum.
Gomel Dairy Exports to UAE Surge Nearly Ninefold in 2023
Krupko highlighted the UAE as Belarus' primary trading partner among the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. “The trade figures demonstrate impressive growth. The surge in dairy exports from Gomel Oblast, up almost ninefold, is a direct outcome of our producers' participation in the international exhibition in Dubai. Additionally, the personal efforts of the UAE ambassador, who has visited the region three times, have been instrumental,” he noted. Krupko emphasized the untapped potential for further strengthening bilateral relations in various sectors.
