Mixed Price Trends Across Dairy Products
While prices for cheese, butter, and buttermilk powder saw modest gains, other key products like milk powders, lactose, and anhydrous milk fat registered declines:
- Mozzarella Cheese: Up 3.6%, averaging $4,173 per metric ton ($1.89/lb).
- Butter: Rose 2.6% to $6,815 per metric ton ($3.09/lb).
- Cheddar Cheese: Gained 1% to $4,728 per metric ton ($2.14/lb).
- Buttermilk Powder: Increased by 0.9% to $3,116 per metric ton ($1.41/lb).
- Anhydrous Milk Fat: Fell 1.6%, averaging $7,169 per metric ton ($3.25/lb).
- Whole Milk Powder: Dropped 2.1% to $3,804 per metric ton ($1.72/lb).
- Skim Milk Powder: Decreased 2.2% to $2,682 per metric ton ($1.21/lb).
- Lactose: Fell 2.4% to $900 per metric ton ($0.40/lb).

The trading session attracted 143 winning bidders over 17 rounds, with a total of 30,156 metric tons of dairy products sold.
