The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) Transportation division recently announced the appointment of three esteemed industry professionals to its board of directors.

These volunteer leaders play a vital role in governing the organization, shaping policy, and charting a strategic course for its future endeavors, with a focus on advancing its mission and vision.

Heading the 2024 GCCA Transportation Board is Don Durm of PLM Fleet, assuming the role of Chairman. Joining him in leadership positions are Richard Patenaude from Congebec, serving as Vice Chairman, and Robert Fay from Florida Freezer, appointed as Treasurer. Todd Lanter from Lineage holds the position of Immediate Past Chairman.

In addition to these esteemed leaders, the GCCA Transportation Board welcomes three new Directors-at-Large, who commenced their three-year terms with immediate effect:

  • Mike O’Brien, President of Eagle Air Freight, based in Massachusetts, United States.
  • Roel Smets, Chief Operating Officer of Group-GTS, headquartered in Geel, Belgium.
  • Kris Verbruggen, CEO and Managing Director of Frigo Logistics, located in Znin, Poland.
Don Durm expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions to the board, highlighting their diverse perspectives and insights derived from their respective companies and regions. He emphasized the invaluable contributions these individuals will make to the board and the wider cold chain community, underscoring their significance in advancing the collective goals of the organization.
