The Neva Milk Group will allocate 700 million rubles to establish a new cheese production facility in the Leningrad region, as announced by the group's president, Albert Sufiyarov. The facility will produce white curd and processed cheeses.

On September 17, a social and economic cooperation agreement was signed by Andrey Petrov, the CEO of the group's company LLC Nevskiye Syry, and Oleg Malashchenko, the Deputy Governor of the Leningrad region and Chairman of the Regional Committee for Agro-Industrial and Fisheries Complexes. The ceremony took place at the "Agrorus" exhibition in St. Petersburg's "Expoforum".

"The development of processing within the region will allow for an increase in local milk production," Malashchenko stated. Sufiyarov mentioned that the project is planned for completion within two years.

The facility's annual production volume will be 6,000–8,000 tons. The products are intended for distribution in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, other Russian regions, as well as Central Asia and the Middle East.

The Neva Milk Group, formerly known as Nevskiye Syry, was founded in St. Petersburg in 1994 by Albert Sufiyarov. It includes LLC Neva Milk and LLC Nevskiye Syry, along with "Northern Milk" and "Vologda Dairy Plant," acquired in 2013–2014. The group owns brands such as Sirtaki, Dolce Granto, Thousand Lakes, and Gold of Europe.

According to SPARK data, LLC Neva Milk's revenue reached 16 billion rubles in 2025, with a net profit of 168.9 million rubles. Cheese production facilities also operate in the Leningrad region, including the "Dairy Culture" company in the village of Seltsko, Volosovsky district, and the "Michelangelo" plant in the village of Kobralovo, Gatchina municipal district.

Mikhail Shkonda, President of the Farmers Association of the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg, reported that cheese production in the region increased by 58% in 2025, reaching nearly 2,000 tons.
