FTIL Urges Lactalis Parmalat to Honor Agreements
The Federation of Dairy Industry Workers (FTIL) has expressed strong disapproval of Lactalis Parmalat - Granja Pocha for failing to adhere to commitments made during collective bargaining talks. According to FTIL, these commitments were supposed to be upheld in good faith in agreements reached at the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Industry. The federation's workers have been actively engaged in an ongoing struggle to safeguard jobs within the dairy sector amidst announcements of closures and layoffs.

They are anticipating a productive dialogue expected on June 18, 2025, where they hope the company will provide a "serious, concrete, real" declaration about the reopening of the Cardona plant, focusing on serum, powdered milk, and butter production. If Lactalis continues to delay commitments, FTIL plans to meet with SOGRAP and GROINCA affiliates in Juan Lacaze to decide further actions. FTIL has warned of potential disruptions, including a halt on accepting serum, cream, and other raw materials from Thursday, should the company fail to give assurances of the plant's reopening.
