FrieslandCampina sets October organic milk price at €72.84
FrieslandCampina’s October 2026 announcement covers payments to member dairy farmers supplying organic milk. The Integral Organic Milk Price is set at €72.84 per 100 kilograms, compared with an Organic Guaranteed Price of €65.25. The latter declined by €0.25 per 100 kilograms from September.
The company said the reduction in the Guaranteed Price mainly represented a correction linked to the previous period. It did not describe the change as the result of a substantial shift in market conditions. FrieslandCampina reported that the organic milk market remained relatively stable during the period.
The Guaranteed Price forms the starting point for calculating the Integral Organic Milk Price. FrieslandCampina then adds the maximum premium available under its Foqus planet sustainability programme, together with a quantity bonus. The calculation also includes relevant charges, costs and any seasonal bonuses or discounts.
Foqus planet connects part of the milk payment to sustainability performance. Organic dairy farmers who meet specified sustainability requirements may qualify for additional compensation through the programme. The company separately noted that members may receive a Supplementary Cash Payment, although that payment is not part of the regular milk price and depends on FrieslandCampina’s financial results and retained-earnings policy.
FrieslandCampina also published the values assigned to key milk components for October. Protein was valued at €911.06 per 100 kilograms, while the value for milk fat was €728.85 per 100 kilograms. Protein and fat are used in the payment structure because they contribute to the value and processing potential of the milk.
The company’s figures are issued as the European dairy industry monitors supply, demand, production costs and broader market conditions. For organic producers, the two reported prices serve different purposes: the Guaranteed Price provides the basic reference amount, while the Integral Organic Milk Price reflects premiums, bonuses, deductions and other adjustments included in the final calculation.
