FrieslandCampina Integrates Retail Operations for Enhanced Efficiency
FrieslandCampina, a Dutch dairy cooperative, has announced a significant reorganization of its European operations. As of January 1, 2027, the company plans to merge its branded and private label retail activities into one division, which will be led by Dustin Woodward. This move is part of a strategy to streamline operations and enhance the efficiency of customer service.
The integration will bring together activities currently divided between two business groups, aiming to leverage the company's existing scale and expertise. CEO Jan Derck van Karnebeek stated that this consolidation will enable the company to respond more swiftly to market opportunities and better serve its customers.
In addition to changes in Europe, FrieslandCampina is also restructuring its operations in the Americas. The current Retail & Americas group will be integrated into the Middle East, Pakistan & Africa group, resulting in a new business unit under the leadership of Tuncay Özgüner. This restructuring will reduce the number of global business groups from seven to six.
As part of the organizational changes, Ali Khan, the current president of the Middle East, Pakistan & Africa unit, has announced his retirement. This transition is expected to facilitate a more cohesive management structure and align with the company's strategic objectives.
The reorganization reflects FrieslandCampina's commitment to optimizing its global operations and enhancing its ability to serve a dynamic and competitive market.
