FrieslandCampina Achieves $15.3B Revenue Amid Dairy Market Challenges

FrieslandCampina, a prominent global dairy cooperative, has navigated a volatile economic environment to report a robust total revenue of $15.33 billion (13.4 billion euros) for the 2025 financial year. Despite facing significant market headwinds and a decline in sector demand across Europe in the latter half of the year, the cooperative achieved an operating profit of $580.9 million (507 million euros) and a net financial result of $375.3 million (328 million euros).

This performance was underpinned by structural cost-saving initiatives launched in 2023, aiming at extensive supply chain optimization and reductions in general administrative expenditures (SG&A). The cooperative operates through a diverse matrix of seven specialized business groups, which yielded varied performance outcomes. While the European and Retail & Americas divisions remained stable due to strategic volume expansions and retail partnerships, they also faced squeezed margins due to higher raw material costs.

Conversely, the Professional segment experienced downward pressure due to low global commodity dairy prices and an unfavorable product volume mix. This contrasted with growth in the Specialized Nutrition and Ingredients business groups. Net cash flow from operating activities reached $703.5 million (615 million euros), reflecting a minor contraction primarily due to the normalization of corporate working capital compared to the unusually low levels at the end of 2024.

The cooperative saw a 2.4% increase in member milk supply, reaching 9,268 million kilograms, driven by a surge in farmgate deliveries in the year's final six months. This led to an 11.6% increase in total compensation to member dairy farmers, totaling $6.09 billion (5.3 billion euros). The elevated guaranteed price for milk reached 53.77 euros per 100 kilograms in 2025, alongside supplementary payouts, member bond interest, and sustainability premiums.

On the environmental front, FrieslandCampina reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 19.1% for FLAG and 16.1% for non-FLAG operations compared to 2020, aligning with its 2030 targets.
