FrieslandCampina is set to raise its guaranteed price for organic farm milk to €57.50 per 100 kilogrammes in July, reflecting an increase of €0.25 compared to the previous month.
This adjustment is based on the expectation that reference company prices for organic farm milk will align with the slightly rising market trend.
Up to and including July 2024, the average guaranteed price for organic farm milk stands at €56.68 per 100 kilogrammes. FrieslandCampina disburses the guaranteed price for farm milk based on its components: protein and fat, maintaining a fixed ratio of 6:4. The guaranteed price is quoted per 100 kilogrammes of farm milk, containing 3.58% protein and 4.45% fat, exclusive of VAT. This amount is applicable for an average annual supply of 550,000 kilogrammes of farm milk.
For July, the value of milk components is as follows: protein is valued at €878.31 and fat at €585.54 per 100 kilogrammes of organic farm milk.
The guaranteed price represents the minimum price that FrieslandCampina assures its member dairy farmers for the milk they provide. It reflects the average farm milk price paid by several dairy companies in northwestern Europe, including supplementary payments, registered reservations, seasonal supplements, quantity supplements, maximum quality supplements, and cooperative supplements or charges.
