Fonterra Forced to Burn Coal as Electricity Costs Remain Prohibitive

Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting in Linz at the Raiffeisenverband event, where I shared key findings on the current state of the dairy industry in Austria.

At the AqAltyn 2025 Congress, Dmitry Dokin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Shin-Line", presented an analysis of the industry's "bottlenecks"—from innovation failures and lack of skilled personnel to export issues, robotization, and dealing with retail networks. According to him, today there are hundreds of ice cream producers in the CIS market, but only a few truly set the category standards.
