FONA Holstein 2026: Key Dairy Industry Event in Mexico

The FONA Holstein 2026 is set to be the pinnacle event of the dairy industry in Mexico, occurring at the Centro de Convenciones de Querétaro from July 27 to July 29. Organized by the Holstein Association of Mexico, the event will bring together leading researchers, industry suppliers, and decision-makers to discuss global trends in animal genetics, health, and financial viability.

The forum will focus on three core pillars: an elite livestock exhibition, technical training sessions, and commercial networking spaces. The livestock exhibition will feature the best Holstein breed specimens in the country, showcasing their high biological manufacturing standards and outstanding genetic merit.

Networking areas will be available for forming strategic alliances and supply contracts, aimed at modernizing production units to meet the global market's economic challenges. Additionally, the technical training program will kick off on July 27 with a keynote address by Ph.D. Enrique Cortés Rello from Tecnológico de Monterrey, focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on modern businesses.

On the same day, Ph.D. Alberto A. Díez Guerrier from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid will address the impact and control strategies for Bovine Infectious Rhinotracheitis (IBR) and Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD), critical diseases threatening herd stability.

On July 28, the discussions will delve into individual feed efficiency as a central theme for financial health in the dairy business, led by Chilean consultant Dr. Nathalia Merino. Later, Ph.D. Jeffrey Bewley from Holstein USA will present practical strategies for applying predictive algorithms to daily milk production.

The event will conclude on July 29 with expert panels evaluating innovations to optimize milking routines and efficiency. Access to the commercial exhibition area is free with prior registration through the event's official platforms, while a formal entry pass is required for attending the full technical training cycle and data discussions with international specialists.
