Farmers from Central Asia Invited to Explore Advanced Livestock Technologies in the USA
Dairy farmers and livestock breeders from the region are invited to explore American technologies in dairy and meat production, Dairynews.today reports, citing a post from the Agricultural Attaché for Central Asia at the U.S. Embassy on social media.
As part of the program, participants will have the opportunity to visit leading farms in key agricultural states such as Wisconsin, Texas, and Montana. The program includes an exchange of experience with American counterparts, enabling Central Asian farmers to adopt advanced methods and approaches to farming.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture and its partners will cover the participants' travel and accommodation expenses, excluding meals.
The program is divided into two phases:
- Dairy Mission: Wisconsin, October 2024. Participants will visit the international World Dairy Expo and major dairy and feed farms.
- Meat Mission: Texas and Montana, March 2025.
To participate in the Dairy Mission, which will take place from September 28 to October 5, 2024, candidates must apply by August 23, 2024, and obtain a non-immigrant B1/B2 visa. Applications are accepted via the provided link.
