According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, in January-September 2024, the volume of milk and cream exports from the country amounted to 6.7 thousand tons worth $9.3 million.
This is 14% less than in the same period of 2023, when the volume of exports reached 7.8 thousand tons for $4.7 million.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan remain the key markets for Kyrgyz dairy products. However, the dynamics of exports to these countries differ:
Kazakhstan: exports amounted to 6.59 thousand tons worth $9.23 million, which is 15% less in physical terms compared to 7.79 thousand tons for the same period in 2023. Nevertheless, exports increased in value terms due to an increase in the average price.
Uzbekistan: the volume of supplies increased by more than 8 times, reaching 136.4 tons (against 15.4 tons in 2023). Revenue increased to $129.4 thousand compared to $11.2 thousand a year earlier.
