Eurofins Agro and trinamiX Launch First On-Farm Silage Analysis Applications with Handheld Spectrometer

The solutions are available through the trinamiX PAL Two, a mobile near-infrared (NIR) spectrometer that enables farmers and feed advisors to obtain real-time forage insights regardless of location. The data generated supports improved forage management and optimized feed formulations, ultimately leading to healthier livestock, higher productivity, and reduced environmental impact.

By enabling both laboratory and frequent on-farm forage analyses, nutritionists and advisors can provide instant guidance to farmers, saving time, accelerating decision-making, and delivering added professional value.

The trinamiX PAL Two comes with an intuitive mobile app that guides users step by step through the measurement process. Results are displayed both on the spectrometer’s built-in screen and via the app.

trinamiX emphasizes that nutritional analysis is now more accessible than ever. Thanks to their deep expertise in spectroscopy and data science, the PAL Two is particularly effective for analyzing inhomogeneous and high-moisture samples such as silage. In collaboration with Eurofins Agro Testing, robust chemometric models have been developed using thousands of forage samples from across Europe—ensuring best-in-class on-farm analytical performance.

The rollout of the technology will be phased, and trinamiX PAL Two spectrometers will become available in an expanding number of regions.
