Equi's Ice Cream Secures 10 Stars at Great Taste Awards

Equi's Ice Cream has been recognized once again at the UK Great Taste Awards, receiving 10 stars across six different products. This marks the 11th consecutive year that the Scottish ice cream maker has been awarded by the Guild of Fine Food, which organizes the prestigious awards known as the 'Oscars' of the food world.

The flavors that won this year include Pistachio Swirl, Strawberry, Crème Brûlée, and Amaretto Bakewell, each earning two stars, as well as Blackcurrant & Cassis Sorbet and Liquorice & Mascarpone Gelato, which both received one star. These accolades are determined by a panel of over 500 food and drink experts, including chefs, buyers, food writers, and retailers.

Notably, the Pistachio Swirl and Strawberry flavors are available for purchase in stores. Pistachio Swirl can be found in 460ml tubs at major retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Scotmid, Morrisons, and selected One O One stores. The Strawberry flavor is available in 120ml tubs from selected One O One and Asda Convenience stores. Additionally, both can be enjoyed at Equi’s parlours throughout Scotland.

The Great Taste judges particularly praised the Pistachio Swirl, describing it as “an exceptionally well-executed ice cream… the true pistachio flavor is captured beautifully.” This recognition underscores Equi's ongoing success and commitment to quality in producing handcrafted ice cream and gelato.
