According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, from January to July 2024, butter exports to Russia increased by 18%. During this period, Kyrgyzstan supplied Russia with 940 tons of butter worth $5.1 million, which is 50 tons more than in the same period last year, when the export volume amounted to 890 tons worth $4.3 million.
The main importing countries of Kyrgyz butter remain Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China. In particular, exports to Kazakhstan also showed significant growth: 440.3 tons in 2024 against 157.9 tons a year earlier, which led to an increase in revenue to $2.4 million.
Such an increase in exports indicates a growing demand for Kyrgyz butter in neighboring countries and the strengthening of the republic's position in the international dairy market.
