DuPont Launches Advanced Reverse Osmosis Element for Dairy Processing
DuPont has expanded its dairy reverse osmosis technology portfolio with the launch of the FilmTec™ MXP RO-8038-FF element. This advanced mesh wrapped reverse osmosis solution is specifically engineered for dairy processors who use mesh wrapped systems and are looking to enhance productivity. The new element offers a 5% increase in active membrane area and up to 50% higher productivity compared to conventional mesh wrapped elements.
Noel Carr, Global Dairy Market Leader for DuPont Water Solutions, stated that this product provides dairy processors with higher throughput and consistent operational performance while maintaining the familiar mesh wrapped configuration. The FilmTec™ MXP RO-8038-FF element is designed for concentrating milk, whey, and lactose streams, supporting higher recovery rates and reducing wastewater generation.
The new element fits with competitive 8038-sized elements, ensuring seamless integration into existing dairy facilities without requiring changes to established operations. Additionally, it expands DuPont's FilmTec™ reverse osmosis element dairy portfolio, offering customers options between the MXP elements for improved productivity in current mesh wrapped systems and the Hypershell™ XP elements for maximum energy savings and easier handling.
DuPont's broader range of membrane and ion exchange technologies supports the life sciences and food industries, facilitating cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable operations. The company's commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence underpins its ability to provide solutions to address various application and process challenges.
