DLG-VetCon Veterinary Conference to Debut at EuroTier 2026
Reproductive health in cattle will be a central topic for dairy farm specialists. Professor Eduardo de Souza Ribeiro of the University of Guelph will discuss the effects of inflammation and metabolic stress on fertility, followed by a workshop on transition cow management.
The second day’s program includes a discussion of cattle performance on low-starch diets. Presentations are also planned on the use of artificial intelligence in veterinary practice and on how a cow’s health before dry-off affects the next lactation. A separate presentation will address biosecurity during animal transport.
Participants will be able to visit EuroTier Milky Way, an exhibition area devoted to dairy production technologies, and see developments for dairy and beef cattle farming on Innovation Boulevard. According to the organizers, DLG-VetCon is recognized in Germany for veterinarians’ continuing education: attendance on both days qualifies for 12 ATF continuing education hours, while one day qualifies for six.
EuroTier 2026 will take place in Hanover from November 10 to 13.
