Dutch Delegation Visits Kazakhstan's Dairy Farms and Factory as Part of KazAgro/KazFarm-2025

The Dutch delegation includes companies such as CowManager BV, Trouw Nutrition, Royal de Boer, and Globifield Impex B.V. The mission was organized by East-West Trade with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan.
Farm 'Ramadan'
The 'Ramadan' farm, commissioned in April 2025, is designed for 1,100 cattle stalls for cows, 900 of which are in constant milking, with a total herd including young stock reaching 2,300 heads.
The average milk yield is 30 liters per cow per day. The farm is equipped with a 40-stall milking carousel, manure removal and processing systems, and bedding, ventilation, and stall equipment from GEA Farm Technologies. The staff consists of 56 people, and when it reaches full capacity (May 2026), it will amount to 70 employees.
Today, the farm is increasing its herd size, as reported by company representatives. Next year, 'Ramadan' plans to reach full capacity and secure its status as one of the most modern sites in the region.
'Atameken' Dairy Farm
The total herd at the 'Atameken' farm is about 500 heads, including 200 milking cows. The farm breeds Simmentals, Montbéliard, and a small number of red Holsteins. The delegation noted the farm's rational organization and the well-chosen feed base.
'Yasnaya Polyana' Dairy Farm
The 'Yasnaya Polyana' farm holds 3,000 heads, including 1,600 forage and 1,350 milking cows. The main breed is Holstein Friesian.
Dutch experts noted the high production culture and systematic approach to herd management, including digital accounting and animal health monitoring.
Representatives from the Netherlands emphasized that the purpose of their visit was to see the condition of Kazakhstan's farms firsthand, and they were pleased with what they saw.
Natige Factory
The Natige factory, operating since 2016, processes up to 15 tons of milk per day. It produces three types of cheese — suluguni, mozzarella, and dietary products.
The company's workforce consists of 28 people.
During the visit, the Dutch tasted the factory's products and noted the national dairy products as interesting in taste and unusual for European tradition.
Today, the KazAgro/KazFarm-2025 exhibition opened in Astana and will run until October 24. It features over 300 companies from 25 countries.
