Danone Expands Production Capacity in Puebla Industrial Park

Danone, the multinational food company, is expanding the production capacity of its facility located in the Industrial Park Resurrección in Puebla, Mexico. This development was confirmed by the city's mayor, Pepe Chedraui, as part of an integrated package of private investments that will be officially presented next week. The aim of this initiative is to stimulate the local economy.

Alongside Danone's expansion, Grupo Bimbo is also establishing a new manufacturing plant within the same industrial complex. This project involves an investment of 1.76 billion pesos and covers an area of 26,000 square meters, enhancing the industrial profile of the park.

The municipal government's strategy focuses on facilitating the operational scaling of businesses already established in Puebla. By concentrating expansion projects within existing industrial infrastructures, the authorities aim to accelerate formal employment creation and maximize economic impact without solely relying on attracting new investors from scratch.

Local authorities have not yet disclosed the financial details or specific timelines for Danone's project but confirmed that the global announcement would include investments from other companies and developments in the hotel sector. The cautious approach is intended to present consolidated figures and signed commitments before formalizing construction schedules.
