Danone U.S. Issues Major Recall of YoCrunch Yogurts

On July 11, Danone U.S. announced a nationwide recall of all its YoCrunch yogurt products after consumers reported finding plastic fragments in the yogurt toppers, which include mix-ins such as Oreos and M&M’s. These clear plastic pieces, up to an inch in size, pose a choking hazard due to their sharp edges.
The recall affects all YoCrunch products with expiration dates from July through September, rendering the current market supply unsafe. The affected products include popular flavors such as Yo Crunch Vanilla Yogurt with M&M's, Strawberry Yogurt with Granola, Vanilla Yogurt with Oreo Pieces, and others, across multiple packaging sizes including 6-ounce individual cups and multi-packs.
Danone is actively collaborating with retailers to remove the contaminated yogurts from store shelves and advises consumers not to consume these products. Although a timeline for fresh products is not provided, customers can return the recalled yogurts to stores like Wegmans for a full refund.
