Danone Reports 4.8% Increase in Third Quarter 2025 Sales
In the third quarter of 2025, Danone reported a significant 4.8% increase in sales on a like-for-like basis, totaling around £6 billion. This growth was largely driven by a 3.2% increase in volume and a 1.6% rise in prices. The company's performance was notably strong in Europe, where sales grew by 2.6% thanks to a 2.1% increase in volume.
Key contributors to this growth were Danone's dairy brands, including Danone Skyr, Activia Kefir, YoPro high protein, and Alpro. The CEO of Danone, Antoine de Saint-Affrique, remarked on the consistent quality growth, emphasizing the importance of the volume/mix in driving the company's success across various categories.
Saint-Affrique also highlighted the positive trend in Europe, where the volume/mix has been positive for eight consecutive quarters. He noted that while they have made progress, there is still work to be done as the company continues its transformation journey, focusing on leveraging its science-based and value-added portfolio.
Looking forward, Danone confirmed its guidance for 2025, predicting a like-for-like sales increase of between 3% and 5%. The company also expects its recurring operating income to grow at a faster pace than sales.
