Danone aims to create the world's healthiest and most sustainable yogurt by enhancing its supply chain with eco-friendly practices.
Danone Pioneers a Sustainable Yogurt Production Model
Danone has committed to producing the most sustainable yogurt globally by implementing innovative practices in its supply chain. The French group increasingly focuses on local farms using regenerative agriculture and cutting-edge factories. According to Natalia Ayala, every aspect of the supply chain is invested in environmental protection - from the cow to the factory, logistics, and transportation.

Danone's sustainability goals include reducing emissions at family farms, ensuring 100% recyclable packaging, using renewable energy, achieving zero waste, and improving product nutrition. More Holstein Farm in Valencia, a supplier for Danone's main factory in Aldaia, exemplifies sustainable practices, having reduced its carbon footprint by 26% since 2018.

Danone has lowered its farm emissions by 20% over five years and aims for a further 37% reduction by 2030. The company is transitioning to models that maximize agricultural benefits while reducing environmental impact, supporting long-term agricultural resilience and profitability.
