Danone has successfully completed the sale of its Essential Dairy and Plant-Based (EDP) business in Russia to Vamin R LLC, following the necessary regulatory approvals.
This transaction, which received the green light from Russian regulators, was officially concluded today, as confirmed by Danone in a recent announcement.
The completion follows a press release dated March 22, 2024, detailing the initial approval process. This strategic move is part of Danone's ongoing business realignment in the region.
Previously operating under the name Health & Nutrition since September 2023, the company did not publicly comment on the decree. The Financial Times has reported that Vamin Tatarstan, a part of the Vamin group like Vamin R LLC, has agreed to pay 17.7 billion rubles for control of the business.
