Danone Changes its CEO in France Ahead of the Olympics
François Airo is stepping down from his role as CEO of Danone France after six years in the position. He will be succeeded by Olivier Pichero, the former CEO of PepsiCo France. Pichero's mission will be to achieve commercial success during the Olympic Games.
Changes are underway at Danone, this time unfolding in France with the departure of François Airo, who served as the CEO of Danone France for six years after approximately two decades within the group. Airo, 60 years old, announced a few months ago that he would be leaving to "dedicate himself to personal projects on an international level" once the merger of three divisions—dealing with dairy products, bottled water, and specialized nutrition—is completed. This was part of a "gentleman's agreement," clarified the group.
François Airo, notably, played a role in revitalizing the production of ultra-fresh products in France, as well as in the production of vegetables and high-protein products. Simultaneously, he added value to brands that are now 100% B Corp certified, as reported by Danone. He also "supported models for creating fair and sustainable value, being one of the organizers of Egalim seminars and supporting the dairy industry at all levels."
