Dairygold Maintains January Milk Price at 50c/L

Dairygold has announced today, February 18, that its quoted milk price for January has remained at 50c/L. This price is based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat, including sustainability and quality bonuses, and VAT.

Additionally, Dairygold offers an early calving bonus for January of 7.36c/L, including VAT, applicable to milk supplied under certain quality criteria. This increases the attainable Dairygold milk price to 57.36c/L.

The average January farm gate milk price stands at 67.6c/L, based on the average January 2025 milk solids achieved by Dairygold milk suppliers.

A spokesperson for Dairygold noted: “Dairy markets are generally stable, as buyers remain cautious in anticipation of the EU peak milk supply in the coming months.” The company will continue to monitor the markets closely and review milk prices monthly.

Other processors such as Carbery Group and Kerry Dairy Ireland have also announced their January milk prices, maintaining stable rates. Carbery's average price stands at 53.57c/L, including bonuses, while Kerry Dairy Ireland's announced price is 53.5c/L, inclusive of a base-price top-up and quality bonuses.
