International Dairy Queen, Inc. has appointed Art D’Elia as the new chief operating officer for its American and Canadian stores.

International Dairy Queen, Inc. (IDQ) has selected a seasoned food industry expert to manage its operations in the United States and Canada. Art D’Elia has been appointed as the new chief operating officer for the quick-service ice cream chain, overseeing nearly 5,000 Dairy Queen (DQ) locations across the two countries.
Reporting directly to Troy Bader, president and CEO, D’Elia is tasked with increasing franchisee sales and profits while maintaining and enhancing the brand's "strength and reputation.” D’Elia transitions to IDQ fr om Domino’s Pizza, wh ere he held significant positions over seven years, including executive VP of international and executive VP and chief marketing officer.
"Art’s strategic vision for the DQ business and strong leadership in brand strategy, marketing, operations, and system sales growth position him well to lead our business in the U.S. and Canada,” said Bader.
