New Zealand: Dairy Farmers Urged to Clear Debt Amid Rising Payouts
In a climate where Fonterra is forecasting payout midpoints of $10 for the current season, New Zealand dairy farmers have a unique opportunity to clear their debts.

DairyNZ, the industry organization, expects the payouts to continue to exceed $10 in the coming seasons.

Lower interest rates combined with higher payout forecasts put dairy farmers in a favorable position to tackle existing debt.

"It's a good chance to clear debt while payouts are rising, and interest rates are falling," commented Mark Storey, DairyNZ Head of Economics.

Farmers who have been consistently making repayments over the past few seasons are encouraged to maintain this trajectory, maximizing their financial benefits as market conditions align favorably.
