Dairy Price Inflation in Chile: General Increases in June

In June 2025, Fedeleche released the CPI Dairy June 2025 report, highlighting a general upward trend in dairy product prices amid a negative overall inflation in Chile.
The report noted monthly increases for liquid milk (2.2%), powdered milk (1.7%), cheese (0.7%), and butter (1.2%). In contrast, yogurt saw a decrease of 2.8%, and dairy desserts fell by 3.2%. This reflects a differentiated dynamic between fresh and processed sweet products.
The general CPI in June showed a negative monthly variation of -0.4%, accumulating 1.9% for the year and 4.1% over the last 12 months. Meanwhile, the category of dairy, plant-based beverages, and eggs increased by 0.1%, whereas the food division dropped by 1.1%.
Fedeleche's report underscores the importance of monitoring dairy product-specific CPI to better understand pricing trends, assess the dairy sector's competitiveness, and design economic sustainability policies for producers.
