In recent reporting from Argentina and Uruguay, the dairy export market marked significant achievements in April and May. The countries observed an increase in average export prices and a diversification in market destinations, highlighting a dynamic period for regional dairy trade.

Argentina:
During the latter half of April 2025, Argentina's dairy market experienced a notable boost. The average export price rose to USD 3,921.67 per ton, representing a 3% increase. Export volumes also surged by 22.7%, reaching 14,650.79 tons, with market destinations expanding from 23 to 30.

April ended with total exports of 26,592.88 tons at an average price of USD 3,871.17 per ton. This positive performance was driven by products such as whole milk powder (USD 4,160.61/ton), non-fat dry milk (USD 3,307.18/ton), and semihard cheese (USD 4,731.17/ton).

Uruguay:
In Uruguay, the latter part of May 2025 saw the average export price at USD 4,058.68 per ton, up by 2%. Despite a slight drop in volume by 3.1% to 7,355.89 tons, market diversification was notable, with destinations growing from 26 to 32.

Overall, Uruguay exported 14,950.50 tons at an average monthly price of USD 4,018.67 per ton in May. Key exports included whole milk powder (USD 4,176.51/ton) and butter (USD 6,541.63/ton).

These developments underscore a robust recovery and expansion phase in the South American dairy trade sector, signaling promising growth trajectories for both nations.
