The USDA has resumed the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative funding, providing crucial support to dairy farmers and processors.

Several farmers and processors will receive the promised reimbursements under the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative grant program. The funding, which was delayed for over a week by the Department of Government Efficiency, has now been released. The program, aimed at helping businesses grow and develop new products through targeted grants, had 420 applicants in suspense nationwide. A total of 28.6 million dollars in promised reimbursements were withheld by the Trump administration, with nearly 6.5 million dollars affecting Wisconsin alone in the current round of the program.
Congressman Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) expressed his satisfaction, stating, "I am thrilled that USDA has resumed DBI Initiatives funding, crucial to Wisconsin's dairy industry. Our dairy farmers and processors work incredibly hard, and I commend Secretary Rollins for ensuring its continuation."
