Conseleite-PR Reports Mixed Trends in Dairy Prices
The latest report from Conseleite-PR highlights contrasting trends in the dairy market. Between May and June, the price of UHT milk rose by 1.88% and continued to increase by 5.93% into July. Mozzarella followed a similar trend, with prices increasing by 2.83% and 5.21% over the same periods. In contrast, powdered milk experienced a 5.10% increase from May to June, but then dropped by 7.15% in July.
These fluctuations have influenced the reference value for milk paid to producers. The highest reference value increased from R$3.1465 per liter in May to a projected R$3.2769 in July. The standard milk reference moved from R$2.4972 to R$2.6007, while the lowest reference value rose from R$2.3474 to R$2.4447 in the same timeframe.
For July 2026, the projected reference price for pasteurized milk is set at R$4.3553 per liter. These prices include a 1.5% Funrural deduction for rural producers.
Producers can receive up to a 26% bonus on the reference value by meeting specific quality thresholds. Bonuses include 5% for milk fat above 4.25%, 5% for protein content over 3.40%, 4% for somatic cell count (SCC) below 200,000/ml, 4% for plate count (CCP) below 100,000 UFC/ml, and 8% for daily volumes exceeding 3,000 liters. Conversely, discounts of up to 6% apply for lower quality milk.
