Cono Kaasmakers Acquires Dutch Premium Butter Brand Van de Koe
Cono Kaasmakers, a Dutch cheese producer, has announced the acquisition of Van de Koe, a company known for its premium butter. The strategic move is intended to strengthen Cono's presence in the premium butter segment by expanding its product portfolio with Van de Koe’s distinctive brand, which is recognized for its craftsmanship, quality, and traceability.
According to Cono Kaasmakers, the acquisition will not result in any immediate changes for customers and suppliers, as existing agreements and delivery schedules will remain intact. The company emphasizes the importance of continuity and maintaining strong relationships with its stakeholders during this transition.
Van de Koe’s commercial operations will be integrated into Cono Kaasmakers’ organization, creating new opportunities for growth both domestically and internationally. Roel Kramer, the founder of Van de Koe, will continue to be involved with Cono Kaasmakers, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of the brand’s values.
Jerry Griep, Managing Director of Cono Kaasmakers, highlighted the alignment between the two companies, stating, “Van de Koe is a strong brand with a clear identity. It aligns with our approach: a focus on quality and craftsmanship. We see great opportunities to further grow the brand. And we’ll preserve what makes Van de Koe so special.”
