Coahuila Launches Nutritional Program for Milk and Eggs
The state of Coahuila, Mexico, has launched a comprehensive nutritional program focusing on the distribution of milk and eggs. This strategic initiative, part of the broader 'Mejora Coahuila' program, is being implemented across 38 municipalities in the region.

Recently inaugurated in Matamoros, Coahuila, the program aims to benefit over 20,000 families, particularly targeting single mothers, teenagers, and individuals with disabilities or special needs. The program, valued at over 149 million pesos, plans to deliver 450,000 actions in total.

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, along with the mayor of Matamoros, Miguel Ángel González, spearheaded the initiative's launch. This social project not only seeks to provide support amidst rising prices but also offers a significant opportunity for community assistance.

Governor Salinas emphasized that this project does not stand alone; it is coupled with efforts in infrastructure development, including electrification and educational programs, as well as initiatives aimed at improving health services, particularly mental health care and support for the elderly lacking access to medication and healthcare services.

“We are dedicated to advancing our social development initiatives and will continue collaborating with municipalities,” stated Governor Jiménez Salinas.

This program reflects Coahuila's commitment to advancing its social support frameworks, ensuring broader access to essential nutrition for its residents.
