Chilean Raw Milk Receives a 4.5% Boost in the First Quarter
In the first quarter of 2026, Chile's dairy industry saw a 4.5% increase in raw milk reception, totaling 600 million liters by the end of March. This growth is attributed to favorable climate conditions which supported higher yields. The region of Los Ríos recorded the most significant increase, with an 8.6% rise in milk reception.
Despite the increased production, the real price paid to milk producers declined by 2.1%. This price change reflects market adjustments during this period.
Industrial processing of the received milk also reached 600 million liters by March 2026, underscoring the industry's capacity to handle increased production volumes. These developments highlight the dynamic nature of Chile's dairy sector and its responsiveness to climatic influences.
