Cheese and Curd Production in Kazakhstan Increases by 13%

According to a representative from the Kizelmann group of companies, the segment's growth is supported by the modernization of cheese production facilities and the expansion of the range of semi-hard cheeses.

Among the main consumer trends in the cheese category are an increased interest in local artisanal cheeses, demand for pre-sliced products and snack portions, as well as the development of functional products.

The functional category includes cheeses with reduced fat content, increased protein, herbs, and spices. Changes in consumption structure create opportunities for producers to expand their assortment and produce products with higher added value.

The presentation also noted that the southern regions of Kazakhstan remain a major center for dairy consumption, with about half of the country's population residing there. Meanwhile, a significant portion of production growth is occurring in northern Kazakhstan.
