The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) is delighted to inform the public that the preliminary judging rounds of the highly anticipated 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest will be accessible to all. The final announcement of the overall winner will be broadcasted live online.

Mark your calendars for the public judging sessions at the prestigious Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin, scheduled for March 5 and 6. The revelation of the top 20 cheeses and the declaration of the world champion will be live-streamed on March 7 at 2 p.m. CT.
WCMA contest director, Kirsten Strohmenger, expressed her appreciation, stating, "It's an honor to provide the global cheese community with the chance to discover and celebrate the artistry and dedication behind the products they cherish. Moreover, the contest offers dairy manufacturers and processors a unique opportunity to receive expert feedback on their products and gain international recognition."
The deadline for submitting entries to the competition is January 26.
WCMA has been the proud host of the World Championship Cheese Contest since 1957. In the latest edition in 2022, Gourmino Le Gruyère, crafted by Michael Spycher of Mountain Dairy Fritzenhaus in Bern, Switzerland, clinched the top honor with an impressive score of 98.423.
