Cascavel Opens Tender for Infant Formulas and Special Diets

The municipality of Cascavel has published a tender for the acquisition of infant formulas and special diets intended for patients served by its municipal health network. The notice was published in the municipality’s Official Gazette.

The procurement covers products for the Pharmacy of the Special Medicines Protocol Sector and for Cascavel’s Emergency Care Units, known as UPAs. The materials are intended to support the provision of specialised nutritional products through those public-health services.

The tender carries an estimated maximum value of R$11,221,558.14, equivalent to R$11.2m when rounded. This figure is the ceiling established for the procurement process. It is not necessarily the amount that the municipality will ultimately spend.

The procedure is identified as Electronic Auction No. 150/2026. The public session is scheduled to take place on October 27th 2026 at 9am. The tender notice sets out the planned purchasing process for the formulas and special diets, while the final suppliers will be determined through the proceeding.

Because the purchase remains subject to the progress of the tender, the estimated value does not by itself represent a completed contract. The eventual expenditure depends on the conduct of the bidding process and the selection of the winning suppliers.
