Carbery Group Appoints New CEO for Dairy and Nutrition Division

Carbery Group has announced the appointment of John Rea as the new chief executive officer for its dairy and nutrition division. John Rea will report directly to the Carbery Group CEO Jason Hawkins and will be responsible for directing Carbery's dairy and nutritional business strategy, along with sitting on its global executive leadership team.
Rea, originally fr om Cork city, has held senior business leadership positions globally. He previously worked with US multinational food company ADM, DuPont, and Danish company Danisco, wh ere he held leadership roles across the UK, Germany, and France.
Carbery highlighted Rea's achievements in driving innovation, operational efficiency, and financial growth in his previous roles. He holds a bachelor's degree in food science from University College Cork and an executive master's in business administration from Hult International Business School.
Group CEO Hawkins expressed his optimism regarding Rea's appointment, stating, "A proven business leader, I know John will use his extensive global experience and his energy to grow our business."
Parallelly, Carbery member co-op Lisavaird Co-op celebrated its 100th anniversary at an event attended by committee members and representatives from other West Cork co-ops, including CEO Jason Hawkins and Mairead McGuinness.
