Bryansk Oblast Allocates 100 Million Rubles Annually for Agricultural Machinery

Andrey Polenok, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture of Bryansk Oblast, informed TASS about the annual budget financing volume. According to him, these measures are part of a regional state program focused on the development of agriculture and the regulation of agricultural product, raw materials, and food markets.

The financing is provided under the direction of engineering and technical support of the agro-industrial complex. Beneficiaries of the subsidies are agricultural producers in the region. Compensation is calculated based on the actual expenses incurred on the purchased equipment, constituting 25% of these costs.

The list of equipment includes grain and fodder harvesters. Additionally, the program covers machines for post-harvest grain processing and drying units used before storing the products. Polenok explained the support procedure at the Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Zolotaya osen" (Golden Autumn).

The region also undertakes activities to increase the purchase of domestic seed selection by agricultural producers. There is a separate federal subsidy for elite and original seeds of potatoes and vegetable crops, including vegetable hybrids.

Under this federal direction, farmers can be reimbursed for up to 70% of expenses on purchasing potato and vegetable seeds. The products are produced under the Federal Scientific and Technical Program. Polenok noted that Bryansk Oblast's legislation has been aligned with federal norms regarding seed production subsidies by scientific organizations.
