A decade after its founding, Birmingham-based Hump Group—an early pioneer in the global camel milk movement—is returning to its roots by hosting a landmark event featuring internationally acclaimed author and camel milk advocate Christina Adams (USA).
Birmingham Hosts Global Camel Milk Thought Leader for Cultural Health Forum

The event, set for Tuesday, 17 June 2025, at the Muslim Student House & Community Centre, will explore the intersection of traditional Bedouin knowledge, community wellness, and scientific insight. Open to the public and free of charge, the session will serve as a platform for dialogue among residents, researchers, and changemakers seeking holistic approaches to health.

Christina Adams, whose work has spanned continents from the U.S. to the Middle East, is best known for Camel Crazy, a critically acclaimed book tracing her personal and scientific journey into camel milk’s potential benefits—particularly in managing autism spectrum disorders. Her appearance in Birmingham marks a symbolic return to the city that helped seed global awareness of camel milk through the efforts of local initiative Hump Group.

“Christina’s work has transformed lives across the globe,” said Mudassar, founder of Hump Group. “This event is a celebration of how a grassroots idea from Birmingham evolved into a global health dialogue.”
