Bioiberica and Lactalis Launch Innovative Collagen-Enriched Milk in Spain

Bioiberica, a global life science company, in collaboration with Lactalis Spain, has launched a new milk beverage called Puleva Vita Calcio Colágeno. This product is the first of its kind in Spain to be enriched with native type II collagen, known as Collavant n2, which has been scientifically proven to support joint health.

The beverage combines the benefits of Collavant n2 with other essential nutrients, offering a comprehensive solution for joint support. According to clinical research conducted by Bioiberica, a daily dose of 40 mg of Collavant n2 can significantly reduce exercise-related joint discomfort and support cartilage health. The study indicated that participants who consumed this dosage experienced an 18.3% reduction in urinary CTX-II levels, a biomarker of collagen degradation, compared to a 20.6% increase in the placebo group.

Collavant n2 has achieved self-affirmed Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status and was the first collagen ingredient to receive the NutraStrong Collagen Verification. Cristina Torres Antelo, the brand manager at Lactalis Puleva, emphasized the importance of aligning with market trends and the growing consumer confidence in collagen's benefits.

Puleva Vita Calcio Colágeno is now available in supermarkets and specialist stores throughout Spain, marking a significant advancement in the dairy industry by integrating scientific innovation into commercial products.
