Belarus-Myanmar Agricultural Cooperation Reaches New Heights
On September 30, 2025, Belarus held the first meeting of the Belarus-Myanmar joint working group on agriculture, indicating enhanced cooperation between the two nations. The meeting saw participation from key representatives, including Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Smilgin and Myanmar’s Deputy Minister Dr. Tin Htut.

Building on a memorandum signed in March 2025, discussions centered on certification, market access, and expanding export product ranges. Belarus' dry dairy exports to Myanmar quadrupled from January to July 2025. Products such as whole and skimmed milk powder, whey, butter, and cheese have been dispatched, with proposals for canned meats and other foods to follow. Belarus also offered expertise to boost Myanmar’s dairy sector, a gesture that was appreciated by Myanmar for its quality and professional exchange.
