Bangladesh Establishes Dairy Development Board
The interim government of Bangladesh has officially launched the Bangladesh Dairy Development Board as of September 1, 2025. This move is part of the enactment of the 'Bangladesh Dairy Development Board Act, 2023', which was initially issued on November 13, 2023. The initiative aims to boost milk and dairy product production, establish quality standards, and improve market management. The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock published related gazettes on August 28, now available in official records. The Board's objectives include enhancing local milk production, securing fair pricing for farmers, and ensuring the distribution of safe milk to consumers.
